Episode 200!
Sean, Brooks, Greg, Andrew, Gary and Lynn reunite for this epic anniversary event! They mostly talk about themselves and the show, but they do manage to work in a little discussion about Wes Anderson, Dollhouse and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. This is the first in what promises to be a series of self-indulgent conversations celebrating this TVAMD milestone.
Also, just to set the record straight, Sean does not think it's a good idea to enslave hot girls. It seemed like a funny thing to say, but out of context it sounds pretty terrible.

There's also some discussion of evil apes and monkey bites with a little time dedicated to the cosplay controversy of hot women who wear skimpy outfits even if they may not fully understand the back story of the character they are currently sexying. Our position on this very serious issue may just shock you.
Apocalypse Party: The Human Centipede Debate
THE FOLLOWING IS BASED ON A TRUE STORY... Did I ever tell you about the time I died? Yeah, probably not. That's a good setup for a story though, right? I have told this story before. For the sake of those involved I omitted some of the more bizarre elements, but as the years have gone by I have come to realize that the full details must be made known. What if the unexplained incident that occurred that St. Patrick's Day in downtown Savannah were to be repeated elsewhere? It's irresponsible to withhold what little I know of it, especially in light of the fact that no one else seems to remember. This is the story of how all Hell broke loose one night in Savannah, how the end of the world was very nearly the result of it, and how I was put in a position to stop it just by deciding to stay home.
In this installment of "Apocalypse Party" by Sean Gilbert, difficult questions are asked and answered and argued about, such as which section of a human centipede would you rather be?
Saturday, August 24, 2013

Sean and Andrew reflect on the year in TV, comparing the plot and character development of the latest season of The Walking Dead to more successful shows like Game of Thrones and the short-lived Firefly. How did Firefly manage to show so much of the characters and story in such a short amount of time, when other shows never seem to understand where the story should be headed? And does it all trace back to the Greedo Effect? Did Lucas inadvertently create a generation of hack writers and hardcore heroes by stripping that one scene in Star Wars of its moral ambiguities?
Plus, Andrew watches Downton Abey. Just sayin'...
