Episode 147... American Horror Story!


In anticipation of Halloween, Sean and Lynn take a brief break from Dracula to talk about the new horror show "American Horror Story", "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil", Grant Morrison's "Supergods" (and how great heroes and villains are created), zombies, Saw, Freddy, Jason and Michael Meyers. Did "Faces of Death" videos signify the beginning of voyeuristic horror like "Human Centipede"? Oh yeah, Human Centipede. This one's not for the kids.

Episode 146... Dracula, Part 1!


Sean and Lynn discuss the King of Vampires and his literary origins. Beginning with the Summer of 1816 that also spawned Frankenstein, they examine Lord Byron's abandoned vampire novel that became Polidori's "The Vampyre", the penny dreadful sensation "Varney the Vampire", "Carmilla" and Bram Stoker's novel as a New World vs. Old World allegory. Just in time for Halloween.
